Pluto LNG – Site A & B Mechanical Works

Project Overview:

The Pluto LNG Project’s onshore processing plant, located on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia, required extensive mechanical erection and installation works. Altrad (formerly AGC) was engaged for critical infrastructure construction at Sites A and B, focusing on mechanical equipment, piping, and structural installations. Additional contracts expanded the scope to include the Effluent Treatment Plant and painting and insulation works, further supporting the plant’s operational readiness.

Scope:

Altrad’s scope of work included:

  • Site A Mechanical Erection: Installation of structural steel and process piping, mechanical equipment, pre-assembled pipe racks, modules, and structures, as well as testing of pipework.
  • Site B Mechanical Erection: Mechanical works for the Trunkline Offshore Terminal, including installation of jetty mechanical components.
  • Effluent Treatment Plant: Installation of equipment, pre-assembled package units, piping, and structural steel works.
  • Painting and Insulation: Supply and installation of insulation, cladding, and ancillary materials; fabrication and application of cladding products; and painting and fireproofing coatings for storage tanks, utilities, pipelines, and jetty facilities.

Outcomes:

  • Delivered all mechanical, piping, and structural works across Sites A and B within the project timeline, adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.
  • Supported the operational readiness of the Pluto LNG process facility through high-quality construction and testing.
